Does Medicare pay for private in-home care?

Medicare does not pay for long term care or in-home care provided on an hourly basis.  Medicare covers intermittent skilled nursing and therapy visits (physical, occupational, and/or speech therapy).  Allied Home Healthcare  is not a Medicare or Medicaid certified provider.

Do you accept Long Term Care Insurance?

Yes, we work with all Long Term Care Insurance companies. Allied Home Healthcare  assists clients and family members throughout the entire Long Term Care (LTC) claims process. This includes checking policy benefits, submitting care logs, invoices and other required documentation to help expedite reimbursement for services.

What are my payment Options?

Private pay options include:  ACH Automatic Debit, Credit Card, or via Check.  Other sources include: Long Term Care Insurance, Veteran Benefits, Workers Compensation.

Are you licensed, bonded and insured?

Yes, Allied Home Healthcare  is a Virginia licensed Nurse Registry and is bonded and insured. Additionally, referred care providers carry individual professional liability policies and must meet all credentialing requirements set forth by the state.

Are care providers background checked?

Yes, all care providers must pass a Level 2 Background Screening (requires fingerprinting). Allied Home Healthcare  ensures care providers have met all state requirements prior to being registered and referred to clients. Once registered, they must maintain all credentials in order to remain active with the Nurse Registry.

How soon can services begin?

We often provide services on short notice, typically within a few hours.  1+ days notice is preferred whenever possible to ensure the best possible care provider match.

Can services be provided in facilities?

Yes, services can be provided in all healthcare settings, up to 24 hours per day.  Care arrangements can be made the same day, generally within a few hours.  Common 1-on-1 services provided in the facility setting include: companionship, supervision, fall prevention, personal care and bedside assistance.  These services are often provided when clients require supervision due to disorientation and/or cognitive impairment.
